Liz Weary is a student counselor who will graduate with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. She has over 15 years of experiencing being an educator, school counseling, and mental health community work in social services. Her passion is helping each person understand themselves better and work through life situations.
She has been working in social services in various fields with children, teens, adults, and families. She has a wealth of information about the education system and community resources. She is committed to providing culturally sensitive care and respecting a person’s autonomy. She holds several certifications in trauma informed care. She has worked directly with the LGBTQ+ population, women, children, and men who are survivors of abuse and those deconstructing from religious trauma. She believes everyone should have a chance of being heard.
In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her spouse, traveling, reading, and baking. Her trauma-informed approach promotes empowerment and understanding which makes her a compassionate, and relatable to a diverse range of clients on their journeys.
