About Chelsie Lawter, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C

Chelsie has been a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner since 2020. She is qualified to treat all types of mental health disorders for children, teens, and adults, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychosis. She has a particular interest in mental health throughout the pregnancy journey, from preconception through pregnancy and the postpartum period. She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health, meaning she has competed specialized training in treating perinatal and postpartum mental health conditions such as postpartum depression and anxiety. Chelsie also has experience working with veterans, which she gained by completing a post-graduate residency at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. As part of her residency, she received additional training in both PTSD and addictive disorder treatment. Chelsie takes a compassionate approach centered on developing a genuine relationship with each client she sees. She believes that while medication can be an essential part of mental healthcare, it often takes more than medication alone to maximize mental and emotional well-being. For this reason, she loves to partner with clients to consider the whole picture, including medication, therapy, physical health, and relationships, when making a plan for treatment. Chelsie is originally from California but has lived in Las Vegas since 2018. Outside of work, she enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband and children.
