About Jenna Markl

Licensed Nevada State Intern

Jenna has been a valued member of our practice since 2023, bringing warmth and expertise to her role as a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and is dedicated to providing guidance and support to individuals, couples, and relationships of all kinds.

While originally from the Pacific Northwest, Jenna has embraced Nevada as her home. A deep connection to her local community fuels her passion for service, which shone through in her past work facilitating Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) for survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. This experience instilled a trauma-informed approach emphasizing empowerment that remains the cornerstone of her counseling practice.

Jenna is trained in Somatic and Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and certified in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). Personalized care is at the core of her approach, and she tailors her interventions to complement each client’s unique strengths and challenges. She utilizes eclectic and evidence-based modalities, including Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, STAIR, Gottman Method, Narrative, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Jenna is committed to creating a warm and accepting space where clients can safely explore their authentic selves and work towards achieving meaningful change.

Outside of her therapeutic work, Jenna is certified in yoga instruction and guided meditation. She cherishes the joy of horsemanship and spending time with her beloved rescue dogs and rabbits.
